In this game at least, they look humanoid, just extremely deformed and ugly. However, I don't know why a cop would just starting shooting at a Nos that is wearing clothes.
Given what Baba Yaga is, in this context it makes sense. I love that when you work for Venus someone calls you Baba Yaga and flat out attacks you. Your ability to move around as freely as you are able to really dispels the idea that the Nos are monsters. I think several quests should have been unavailable, or at least presented/completed in a completely different fashion. This game, Bloodlines, just makes you look like you "was a burn victim as a child."Īs far as quests go, and this ties in with the clothing your character wears, I find it odd the amount of stuff you CAN do as a Nos. It's still one of my all time favorites though. I think part of that is just that the game as a whole is ugly, at least visually. Speaking of, I think Redemption did a better job at showing the monstrous appearance of Nosferatu. I understand why they spend most of their time hiding, but I don't feel this game conveyed that well. In fact, unless the Nos is feeding or something obviously in violation of the Masquerade, I suspect most people would write off the observation of one simply as a deformed human or a hoax. But, given that vampires move around at night, the likelihood of one being discovered, especially with obfuscate, is pretty small. Granted, as a Nos and human get closer to each other the easier it would be for the human to make out the features of a Nos. People can only see the monstrousness of a Nos if the monstrousness is visible. While the claws of a Nos might be a problem, fingerless gloves exist or can be made.
By this I mean something like jeans, a hoodie, and gloves, for example. I would think that, as a Nosferatu, wearing clothes that don't draw attention to them would be the way to go.
